Steve Saylor is a Toronto-based podcaster, radio host, YouTube Gamer, Graphic Designer, College Professor all while being blind! Starting in 2015, his entertaining YouTube series “Blind Gamer” fuses humour with his passion for playing video games while being very bad at it. In just a few short years he is considered a thought leader on accessibility in gaming and an advocate for developers to push video game accessibility forward. Steve is the top Blind Gamer in Canada.
Tee Morris says often on his stream “I’m not a gamer that writes. I’m a writer that games.” That’s because Tee has been writing science fiction, fantasy, horror, and non-fiction for over fifteen years. His debut novel, MOREVI: The Chronicles of Rafe & Askana, became the first novel to be podcast in its entirety, making Tee one of the original vanguard of podcasting. He went on with Evo Terra to write Podcasting for Dummies (as well as the following editions alongside Chuck Tomasi). In 2011, Tee returned to fiction with the Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences series, penned with his wife, Pip Ballantine. The series and its short fiction podcast, Tales from the Archives, inspired the Y.A. spin-off series, Verity Fitzroy and the Ministry Seven. And somewhere in the middle of all this, Tee wrote Twitch for Dummies in 2019, Discord for Dummies in Spring 2020, the 2nd edition of Social Media for Writers in the Summer 2020, and the 4th edition of Podcasting for Dummies in Fall 2020.
“Gaming with TheTeeMonster” began in 2017 from a couch in Tee’s home theatre with a PS4, a headset, and Bungie’s Destiny. Today, while his stream still features Destiny, Tee’s stream has evolved into other video games outside of the Destiny franchise, “Philippa’s Phreaky Phriday” where Tee’s wife, Pip Ballantine, grabs hold of the controller, and plays a game of her choosing; and Thursday nights, Tee hosts Steve “The Blind Gamer” Saylor in “Blind Leads the Blind” where Tee serves as a Sherpa through Destiny 2, and then turns off the lights for Phil Rossi’s Scream Team and Phasmophobia. Tee also hosts live recordings of the podcasts, Happy Hour from the Tower (http://www.happyhourfromthetower.com) and The Shared Desk (http://www.theshareddesk.com); and includes monthly and bi-monthly AMA streams called “Twitch Dad presents” covering subjects around content creation, cooking, grooming, life hacks, and much more.
Tee enjoys a content creator’s life in Virginia alongside Pip, his daughter, and three cats. Explore the works of Tee Morris, and his occasional geek rants, at TeeMorris.com.
