HyperX announced today it will be an Official Red Carpet Gaming Sponsor for the world premiere of Free Guy. As gaming and entertainment industries continue to crossover, HyperX is “expanding efforts and collaborations in the film industry.” According to the company, Free Guy aligns with HyperX’s mission to include and connect all gamers, while encouraging all to find the hero within themselves.

“We love to continue to see positive gaming references integrated across different industries,” said Wendy Lecot, Head of Strategic Alliances, in a press release. “Full of action, comedy, and heartfelt moments, ‘Free Guy’ is a nice combination of real-life journeys and video game culture that also includes top gamer and creator appearances such as HyperX hero Pokimane. We are excited to be part of Guy’s life adventure and look forward to more film collaborations in the future.”

The highlight on Pokimane doesn’t come as a shock. In 2020 a handful of popular streamers and content creators announced their participation in the upcoming movie. Others include Ninja, Lazarbeam, and Jacksepticeye. HyperX’s involvement can also be seen in the movie. The company’s headsets, keyboards, mice, and microphones can be seen during gaming scenes for authenticity.

Free Guy opens in United States theaters on August 13, 2021.
