Happy Holidays to everyone in our community! This year has been a whirlwind for all of us at Ritual Motion and we’re all so excited to be able to share our journey with you. 2021 has been a year of change for a lot of us, and we’re so honored to have a community that has followed us from the very beginning. From our Skins to the content we share on GUILD, our mission has always been to provide products and resources “for the good of gamers,” and we plan on continuing that mission into the new year!

2021 was also a year of firsts for Ritual Motion:

The Ritual Motion Esports College Fair

Our esports college fair was one of the first ever digital college fairs to take place in the industry. Over 500 students registered with over 30 colleges and universities acting as exhibitors. Guests such as NCAA and NFL Champion Ahman Green, Dr. Dennis Rebelo, Bubba Gaeddert, Dr. Clint Kennedy, Allison “Skybilz” Waters, Justin M. Jacobson, and more all jumped into various panels and Q&A discussions to cover the importance of esports in education and how students can find career paths in the industry.

GUILD Kick Off Party

Back when we were just building the first steps of GUILD, we welcomed an incredible roster of experts in gaming and esports to speak about their experiences. Some founding speakers included Jacqueline Garrett, Anson Henry, William Collis, Rebecca Dixon, and Shae Williams.

The Kick Off Party featured hosts Ben Feferman, Monica Miller, and Crystal Mills where they showcased the platform’s initial features. In addition, they also welcomed some of our affiliates as well as our main guest of the evening, Allison “Skybilz” Waters, who talked about her own experiences in the streaming and esports universe.

Playing for Pride

2021’s Playing for Pride may have been our second celebration in partnership with the Stonewall Community Foundation, but it was our first time carrying a special panel discussion on GUILD! Ritual Motion VP of Content Crystal Mills hosted an incredible panel with special guests Jarrett Lucas, MiaByte, and Daramgar where they all talked about LGBTQIA+ representation in gaming.

In addition, we held two special tournaments in both Super Smash Bros. and Guilty Gear: Strive. All donations were dedicated to the Stonewall Community Foundation.

Champions Start From Within

We had the amazing opportunity to team up with Razer to produce a massive health and wellness campaign called Champions Start From Within. Here, we helped create a huge library of articles and videos all dedicated to helping players prevent injuries, maintain positive mental health, and find balance in gaming and physical activity.

It was one of the first campaigns to open the door to consultations with Respawn Therapy’s Dr. Jordan Tsai as well as other experts in the industry.

In addition, we hosted our first ever Ritual Motion Health and Wellness Summit on GUILD. The three hour event hosted health experts such as Dr. Jordan Tsai (Respawn Therapy), Dr. Drew Schwartz (For The Wellness), Licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist Dr. Sharmander, and more. We also welcomed incredible content creators like Renée, BBXH, Alex Matthysse (CTRL), and Josh Otero (NutriGMR).

StartEngine Crowdfunding Campaign

Our StartEngine crowdfunding campaign is still hitting new highs as we approach the end of the year. After booking over $100k in the first 24 hours and $300k by 18 days, we’ve managed to continue growing at a rapid rate. As of this writing, we have reached the $700k mark, and we anticipate even more interest in the Ritual Motion brand as we head into the New Year.

From everyone at Ritual Motion, thank you so much for all of your continued support. We couldn’t have done any of this without you!
